These terms apply when you buy or use the SA to UK Hidden Costs Calculator (the "Calculator") from satouk.co.uk. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean SAtoUK.co.uk, whose full details are in section 14. You can contact us at hello@satouk.co.uk.
The Calculator is digital content: an Excel spreadsheet, a calculator file that opens in a web browser, and a short guide, supplied as a download. The free estimate on this website is provided separately, free of charge.
What you need. The Calculator is designed for a Windows 10 or later or macOS 12 or later computer. The browser version needs an up-to-date Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox or Safari (any version released in the last two years) with JavaScript switched on; an internet connection is only used to fetch the day's exchange rate. The spreadsheet is designed for Microsoft Excel 2016 or later, Microsoft 365, Excel for the web or the Excel mobile app. Google Sheets and Apple Numbers can open the spreadsheet but do not keep its cell protection. The browser version is not designed to run on a phone or tablet, or in Internet Explorer. The same requirements are shown on the product page before purchase and in the guide supplied with the download.
The Calculator is supplied as described when it is used on a device that meets these requirements.
The price is shown on the website at the time you buy, currently £47 as a single payment. Checkout and payment are handled by our sales platform, Payhip, which also collects any VAT due in your country. Your contract is with us.
Your download link is emailed to you immediately after payment. If it does not arrive within an hour, check your junk folder and then email us.
You normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase made online. For digital content you can start using immediately, that right ends once the download begins, if you have agreed at checkout to immediate delivery and acknowledged that you will lose the right to cancel. You are asked to confirm both at checkout, before you pay, and your order confirmation email records your purchase. If you do not give that confirmation, you keep your 14 day right to cancel.
Your statutory rights are not affected. Digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If a file is faulty, will not open or does not match its description, email hello@satouk.co.uk and we will repair or replace it. If we cannot, you are entitled to a refund in full or in part.
Official fees and tax rates in the Calculator were verified on 8 October 2026. If a change to official UK rates materially affects results before the April 2027 rates are published, we will make an updated Calculator available to existing buyers free of charge, by email to the address used at purchase. Free updates run until the April 2027 rates are published and include the update that reflects them. We are not obliged to update estimates of market costs such as rents or shipping.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the Calculator for yourself and your household. You may not resell, share publicly, republish or remove the protections from the files. All rights in the Calculator, its content and design remain ours.
The Calculator is a planning tool. It is not financial, legal, tax or immigration advice and does not take account of your full circumstances. Estimates are planning figures and real costs vary. Official fees and rules can change at short notice. Always confirm current fees and requirements at gov.uk and take professional advice before you apply, sign or pay. The Calculator is independent and not affiliated with any government body.
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for decisions you make based on the Calculator, for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses. Our total liability to you is limited to the price you paid. If digital content we supply damages a device or other digital content belonging to you, and this is because we did not use reasonable care and skill, we will repair the damage or pay you compensation, as the law requires. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law.
The free estimate is provided as is, for general information only, and is a rough guide based on typical costs.
We may update these terms. The version in force when you bought applies to your purchase.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings there. If you live elsewhere, you keep any protection given to you by the mandatory laws of your country.
